Now that the new year buzz is out of the way and everyone is settled into the new year, hopefully peoples thoughts have moved onto how to accomplish their 2019 targets or goals. With that in mind, below is an example of a marketing budget spend on promotional items which will hopefully give you an idea of what is possible, even with a moderate spend.

The rough rule of thumb for a company’s marketing budget is 10% of the revenue. The following example follows a mid-size business turning over £500k a year. This equates to £50,000 a year to allocate amongst any advertising channels they see fit, trade shows, media advertising, print adverts, and of course promotional items. Assuming said company elects to sponsor a local event then foam hands can be a great way to spread your brand across a crown in a positive manner. £10,000 (only a fifth of the annual marketing budget) would get approximately 11,500 foam hands delivered to a UK address. That equates to 690m2 of total branding area, which is effective during and post event. That’s the same as the entire side (not just the ad strip) of 17 and a half double decker buses!

Foam hands could be the fun and cost effective idea you need to promote your brand this year!
