We recently produced some foam FA cup mitts on behalf of a promo company for Wolves FC, when they were on their run to the semi final. When using the BT sport app at the weekend I noticed the same foam mitt at the top of the home page, and it was a reminder of the lasting impact that promotional merchandise can have beyond the initial event. The BT sport app has had over a million downloads from Google play store, I would imagine a similar figure from Apples app store. Thats alot of additional eyes seeing what could be your product.
Its also a reminder that foam hands can be magnets for tv cameras and attention in crowds. And the fact that a photo of one was selected to accompany BTs coverage of the FA cup rather than the athletes/stadium/pitch shows that they still have an inherent interest for people.
